Peter Taylor kept his promise and packed the City side with experience for another critical afternoon for both the team and the manager.
Kevin Ellison and Scott Dobie both came straight in for their debuts. Long-time casualties Simon Ramsden, Michael Flynn and Lewis Hunt also returned to the starting line-up.
The biggest surprise was in goal where Lennie Pidgeley was recalled in place of Jon McLaughlin.
Steve Williams was named on the bench.
