Wharfedale FA under-17s were comfortable 3-0 winners over Craven FA under-17s in the West Riding County FA Minor Cup.
Wharfedale took the lead after half an hour when Daniel Butterfield put through Wraith Haley-Neilson to finally get the better of the Craven offside trap and beat the keeper.
The match was still in the balance until the 70th minute when Haley-Nelson underlined Wharfedale’s second-half dominance with their second goal. He turned his marker and scored with a shot low to the keeper’s right.
Minutes later, Josh Wagstaff hit a wonder shot which shook the woodwork, and the bar was again rattled after good movement from George Hancock.
Wharfedale’s third goal came from a 30-yard thunderous free-kick struck by central defender Richard Vennard.
