The West Riding County FA Challenge Cup takes centre stage on Saturday as Albion Sports continue their bid to go one better than last year.

Last season’s beaten finalists safely eased through their first-round tie at Thorne Colliery with a 4-2 win and now visit West Yorkshire Association Premier Division side Robin Hood Athletic in the second round.

Campion, who were taken into extra time by Salts before winning 5-3 in the last round, visit Harrogate League side Kirkby Malzeard.

Closer to home, Tyersal, who edged Steeton out 2-1, have home advantage over their County Amateur Premier Division rivals Ovenden West Riding, while Dudley Hill Rangers entertain Rothwell Athletic at East Bierley and Hunsworth travel to Sherburn White Rose.

In the West Riding County Challenge Trophy, the reserve sides of Albion Sports, Campion, Salts, Steeton and Tyersal should progress from the third round when they have home advantage over Bingley Town, Rothwell Athletic, Otley Town, Crossgates and Oxenhope respectively.

Long Lee will welcome their former Craven League rivals Carleton Sports Club to Marley Stadium, with Rawdon Old Boys hosting Whitkirk Wanderers reserves.

In the West Riding County Amateur League Premier Division, third-placed Steeton travel to fourth-placed Marsden with only one point separating them.

Wibsey will also be hoping to pick up three points from their visit to second-bottom Hall Green United as they bid to climb away from the relegation zone.
