The FA Vase second qualifying round has thrown up an intriguing Bradford derby.

LIVERSEDGE are third from bottom in the Kool Sport Northern Counties East League Premier Division table and they host Eccleshill UNITED, who are second in Division One.

Meanwhile, Brighouse TOWN are also at home, awaiting a visit from north Leeds-based Yorkshire Amateur.

Sedge boss Stewart Waddington said: “It will be a tough old game for us because they have done well so far and their new regime is able to pay a few coppers out for players these days.

“Eccleshill’s management team have got them playing right and they will be full of confidence.

“We haven’t had the best of starts in terms of results but we have just started to pick up, even though we are not firing on all cylinders yet.”

Brighouse’s game is just as much of a local derby and also a Premier versus Division One tie. Town are third in the top section, with their visitors being only mid-table in the lower tier.

Town have picked up ten points in four league games since their last defeat, although that was also a cup tie. They were beaten 2-0 at home by Northern League outfit Dunston UTS in the FA Cup extra preliminary round.
