City will today put a contract offer in front of striker Chib Chilaka.

But Peter Taylor has released the other trialists Seb Carole and Malvin Kamara.

Nigerian-born Chilaka, who made his debut as a sub against Preston in the Carling Cup, was on the bench again at Stockport last week.

Now he has been offered the chance of a proper deal.

Taylor said: "I think he will be up for it. Chib wants the chance to learn from playing with us.

"But I've let the other two go only because we've got Leon Osborne and Omar Daley in the building in near-on the same position.

"I did explain it to them when they first came in and said that wasn't the main position I was looking for.

"But both of them have been absolutely first class. They've worked hard and mixed in with the club.

"It's a financial decision and based on what I've already got."
