Dinnington Town 1, Thackley 5
Thackley turned in another nap hand as they earned a very valuable three points in the Kool Sport Northern Counties East League Premier Division from tonight’s trip to Dinnington Town.
The visitors took the lead midway through the first half and by the interval they were 3-0 to the good and cruising to victory.
Matt Mathers set them on the way when he reacted to tap-in after seeing his header parried by the home keeper.
Harry Thompson netted the second with a well-struck shot from just outside the area in the 37th minute, and Josh McClean added the third minutes before the break.
The home side were awarded a penalty just after the hour for a foul, and Michael Blythen slotted it in.
But Mathers restored the Dennyboys’ three-goal cushion late on, and substitute Andy King put the gloss on the win in the penultimate minute.
