Runaway Dales Council leaders Mount had a field day against Division A rivals Shipley Providence, with Fakir Laher blasting 127, and with Hasan Patel scoring 67 they put on 176 for the fifth wicket.

They ended up beating Shipley by 222 runs.

Halifax Direct had a close encounter with New Wortley. After being bowled out for 205, New Wortley were eight wickets down needing only six runs. But the two wickets fell, leaving them on 204 all out.

Crompark beat the normally assured Leeds Sikh by four wickets, with Amit Khullar taking 5-6 and Stuart Jones 3-35 including a hat-trick.

Rodley seem to have lost their way recently and could only score 44 against Farnley Hill, who had posted 198.

Baildon shot out Hawksworth for 164 after Mohammed Ebrar had taken 7-32, then Johnny Baines registered 52 for Baildon in their five-wicket win.

Hepworth Idle occupy third spot some 30 points below the leaders having taken a maximum 20 points from their win over Pudsey Congs.

Matthew Tinsley with 70 and Mark Mills with 45 took Hepworth to 227-6, then Andy Horner (5-42) and skipper Dave Matthews (4-20) reduced Congs to 188, even though Brian Wardle had notched up 90 for them.

In Division B, Drighlington entertained St Lawrence and Aidan Dunne (6-13) reduced the visitors to 102. Drighlington found themselves struggling at 69-7 but Aidan, batting at six, held the tail-enders together to reach 105-7.

The derby match at Rodley saw Rodley on 120-8, which Farsley found difficult to match and, after being eight wickets down for 69, the match ended suddenly after one of the players collapsed and had to be taken to hospital.

Tong Park Esholt lost to Cookridge by six wickets and are now in danger of relegation after Shipley Providence registered a welcome 16-point win over New Farnley, who now look doomed.

Hyde Park went down to Adel by 55 runs but still lie in second place after rivals Savile Stars also lost.

Baildon B had an easy win over Whitehall, with Stuart Jolly taking four more wickets.

Wibsey Park Chapel were unable to field a full team and were easily beaten by 80 runs against Leeds Sikh B, and relegation-threatened Crompark B had a three-wicket win over Cookridge B.
