Keighley-based Long Lee will be among the West Riding County Amateur League newcomers this season.

The Craven League champions have been entered into Division Two, which starts on Saturday, August 28, along with Division One, while their reserve team will kick off in Division Three on Saturday, September 4.

The Premier Division starts on Wednesday, August 18.

Huddersfield-based Lepton High-landers will also enter Division Two, while Hunsworth have entered a reserve side.

The League have lost Dudley Hill Athletic (disbanded) and Hemsworth Miners Welfare, who, after seeing their first team accepted into the Northern Counties East League two seasons ago, have struggled to put out a strong enough reserve team.

Wakefield City have withdrawn their reserve side, while Ardsley Celtic will be known as Tingley Athletic. The league’s hopes of becoming one of the new step seven leagues on the football pyramid have been put back. The FA have delayed the announcement of their re-structuring programme, which will not now be implemented until 2011-12.
