City will face Nottingham Forest again in the opening round of the Carling Cup - but this time at home.

The Bantams have not had a Valley Parade fixture in the competition since 2004 when they lost to Notts County.

And they have not got through the first round for five years.

City were beaten 3-0 at Forest last season and finished the game with ten men after Jonathan Bateson was red-carded on his debut.

Again, they have been handed one of the toughest opponents in the seeded draw. But at least there is the long overdue bonus of playing on home soil.

The tie is expected to take place on Tuesday, August 10.

Meanwhile, Leeds are at home to Lincoln and Huddersfield travel to Carlisle.
