A total of 392 runners braved the wet and windy weather to take part in tonight’s Otley 10 Mile Road Race organised by Otley Athletic Club.
First home was Bingley Harriers’ Tim Midgley in 56min 30sec, with Gary Dunn (Thirsk & Sowerby, 56.38) and Matthew John (Abbey Runners, 57.18) in second and third respectively.
First woman home was the host club’s Josie Hodgetts in 64.29, with Pauline Munro, of Bingley Harriers, in second in 65.53.
The runners, who were started by the Town Mayor at Otley Cricket Club, followed a route through the villages of Pool in Wharfedale, Leathley, Lindley and Farnley before making their way back into Otley.
