Fit-again duo Matt Clarke and Omar Daley were both back in the squad at Chesterfield this afternoon.
But while Clarke went straight into the back four, the Jamaican had to make do with a bench spot.
Jon Bateson made way for Clarke, suggesting that Zesh Rehman would be playing right back again.
Michael Flynn, who scored last week's dramatic winner, returned to the starting line-up in place of James O'Brien.
There was no Matt Glennon on the bench. Matthew Convey was named sub keeper.
Barry Conlon was among Chesterfield's subs against his old club.
CITY: McLaughlin, Rehman, Williams, Clarke, Threlfall, Bullock, Bolder, Flynn, Grant, Evans, Osborne. Subs: Horne, L O'Brien, J O'Brien, Daley, Kendall, Dean, Convey.
