Only one fixture beat the frost in the Bradford Sunday Alliance League, with Division 1B basement side Prospect AFC losing to mid-table Royal FC 7-3.
Four first-half strikes from Michael Ferguson and a goal from Adam Mottram put Royal in command but, just before the break, a second goal from the hosts gave them renewed hope.
Chris Caton added a sixth for the visitors and then skipper Dom Shack scored from the penalty spot to seal the points.
Prospect scored a consolation goal in the final few minutes but Royal’s win sees them climb to fifth in the table.
The biggest casualty of the day was the postponement of the Premier Division clash between leaders Buttershaw White Star and second-placed West Bowling.
Due to the delayed West Riding County Sunday Cup tie between Silsden and Brotherton taking preference to the league, the Premier Division fixture-list has been rearranged for this Sunday. The new matches are: Oakenshaw v Ventus Sports; Bolton Woods v Queensbury; Relay Recruitment v West Bowling.
