An extra-time goal from Steve Burton from a Jamie Walshaw cross saw Guiseley win 3-2 at Tadcaster Albion in the West Riding County Cup tonight.
Tadcaster led at the break after Harpal Singh had headed a speculative cross into his own net following a ninth-minute mix-up with his keeper.
Guiseley striker Adam Muller rifled in two shots in a six-minute second-half spell to put the visitors in front.
Just after the hour, a wonderful strike from distance by Albion’s Thompson made the tie all square again but Guiseley won in extra time to set up a tie with Ossett Town.
Silsden are prepared for a visit from Glasshoughton Welfare tomorrow night at Cougar Park in the same competition.
Bradford Park Avenue will have one eye on the tie because they face the winners in the second round.
