Bulls star Semi Tadulala is sweating after being told he faces a four-match ban which would rule him out of Fiji’s World Cup.

Bradford’s top try-scorer has been ordered to face an RFL disciplinary meeting tomorrow night charged with an alleged reckless high tackle during Friday’s defeat against Wigan.

Tadulala was put on report following the second-half challenge on centre Cameron Phelps and the match review panel rates it Grade C, which carries a suspension of up to four games.

With the Bulls’ season now over, any ban would count towards the World Cup – in which Fiji play group matches against France and Scotland in November – and could also carry over to Super League in 2009.

Tadulala, 30, has been named in Fiji’s initial 40-man squad and is expected to be a major player for them during the tournament in Australia.

He has grabbed 23 tries in his first season at Odsal since joining from Wakefield Trinity Wildcats and is expected to shortly sign a new deal.

Meanwhile, Catalans Dragons have been handed a major disciplinary worry ahead of Saturday’s Super League play-off eliminator against Wigan.

Loose forward Gregory Mounis, who has missed only one match all season, has been charged with allegedly striking an opponent on the ground with his elbow during the Dragons’ 46-8 win over Warrington in their opening play-off tie.

Mounis was cited by the match review panel and will face the same disciplinary hearing as Tadulala. He too could be banned for up to four matches, jeopardising his World Cup plans with France.

The Bulls Academy have a chance to gain some revenge for their senior clubmates when they tackle Wigan in a final eliminator on Saturday.

Paul Medley’s side are just 80 minutes away from a Grand Final against St Helens.

They defeated Castleford Tigers 32-24 in an elimination semi-final on Saturday, prop Steve Crossley (2), Duane Straugheir, Joe Wardle, Ben Hellewell and Keale Carlile all scoring tries.

Having already seen off Wakefield, next up they face the Warriors at Orrell RUFC’s ground for a place in the final.
