KEIGHLEY Cougars have signed back-rower Alfie Salmon on a season-long loan from Castleford Tigers.
He is the second young player to make that switch from The Jungle to Cougar Park this month, following in the footsteps of his team-mate George Hill.
Salmon impressed at academy level with Cas, and he was called up by Yorkshire during last year’s Origin Series against Lancashire.
The loanee is part of Cougars’ 21-man squad for their Betfred Championship game at Rochdale Hornets tomorrow.
Pleasingly, Brad Holroyd, Lachlan Lanskey and Max Clarke are all included after their respective injuries, which kept the trio out of the Betfred Challenge Cup win over Midlands Hurricanes last Sunday.

The Rochdale game will also be a special occasion for two of Cougars’ senior figures.
Joint-captain Matty Beharrell will be making his 250 th career appearance, off the back of his starring role in that win against the Hurricanes.
But utility forward Dan Parker is not far behind Beharrell in the longevity stakes, as he gets set to make his 200 th career appearance tomorrow.
