HAVING not won at all in the Timothy Taylor’s Craven League until August 10, Wilsden have now made it two successive victories.

Riddlesden won the toss at Shay Gate and scored 186, with Chris Longley taking 3-39.

Then Pete Longley and keeper Majid Jahangir both scored 60, featuring in a stand of 108 for the fourth wicket after they were 36-3.

That set the platform for them to win by three wickets with seven balls to spare.

Wilsden are still second from bottom on 102, and are now 25 points ahead of Haworth but 34 off Bradley and safety.

Haworth Road Meths are back up to second after a comfortable four-wicket victory at Glusburn, who were 5-3 and 52-5 but ended up on 185, despite Goyer Ayoub (3-13) running riot early on.

The visitors won the toss at Scotchman Road and did well to make 147 after being 51-6.

Captain Martin McCulley (36) added 55 for the seventh wicket with Joe Allatt (34) but Muhammad Zulfiqar Khan (4-28) and Ishtiaq Raza (3-39) also had their moments.

In Division Three, Bradford & Bingley III are fifth on 157 points after receiving a walkover from Keighley III, but the one point gained by Bingley Congs III at home to Gargrave II pulled them level with Keighley III on 98 points, with both being in relegation trouble.

Congs could only make 73 on a difficult Sandy Lane track, Muhammad Haseeb Khan top-scoring with 14 as they were dismissed in the 28th over.

Gargrave II then won comfortably by eight wickets in the 14th over.

Wilsden II, who are only three points adrift on 95, lost by 47 runs at Sutton II, who made 193 after being sent in, Huw Pacey taking 3-37 and Dan Bosworth claiming 3-50.

Bowling Baptists III, who are third on 178 points, are breathing down the necks of Bradley (203) and Skipton CI II (190) in Division Four after inflicting the first defeat of the season on Bradley.

The latter made 164-7 after winning the toss at Matthew Lane, Muhammad Fakhar taking 3-22.

Baptists then timed their reply nicely, winning by four wickets with an over to spare thanks to Adnaan Shafique (36) and Fakhar (29no).
