FIVE Bradford boxers were recently crowned National Champions.
On Sunday 12 May, John Elam of Platinum Boxing Club, Jim Mcdonagh of Laisterdyke, Daniel Adams of Sedbergh ABC, Delilah Lambert of Laisterdyke and Lily Green of Karmand, were all victorious in their respective weight classes.
The event itself, England National Finals, took place over two days in Newcastle and the five aforementioned Bradford fighters all achieved gold.
It was a rigorous schedule to get to the finals, with all five fighters having to be crowned Yorkshire champions, Midlands and East Midlands champions and the next stage was the England National Finals itself.
As a county, Yorkshire impressed at the finals as they came home with nine gold medallists and six silver medallists to round off a fantastic couple of days in Newcastle.
