BRADFORD (Park Avenue) have made a major off-field decision following their relegation from the Northern Premier Division.
Calum Cullen joined the club as their football operations manager four years ago and has been key to success stories like reducing stadium costs and bringing in a raft of new sponsors.
But Avenue have informed him that his position at the club is being made redundant with immediate effect and he will now enter a handover period to transition any important duties and information outstanding.
Avenue posted a club statement, saying: “We would like to place on record our thanks for all Calum’s hard work, particularly in obtaining many new sponsors, improving the club shop and increasing shop sales.
“It is with some considerable disappointment that this situation has arisen, but the club needs to reduce its costs after relegation and to maintain a strong first-team spend next season.
“Calum has worked diligently over almost four years to stabilise stadium costs and ensure positive outcomes from his endeavours and we wish him well for the future.”
