AS part of the FA's Barclays Girls’ Football School Partnerships, an event was recently arranged for both primary and secondary girls to attend a 'footballing' day at Goals in Bradford.
The event, which took place on International Women's Day (March 8), was led by the Barclays Girls' football leads from Carlton Bolling and Hanson Academy and it turned out to be the biggest #LetGirlsPlay event ever.
Over 170 Girls from 17 primary and secondary schools from across Bradford took part in the day, which included the participants taking part in a number of football drills before moving into a match situation.
Students from years four-six took part in the day, while a separate group was formed for students from year seven.
All in all, it was a very successful day for everyone involved and it highlighted the growing enthusiasm for women's football, and particularly in Bradford.
