BRADFORD (Park Avenue) are inviting fans to Horsfall on Friday evening, where we will be hosting an open Q&A with new first team head coach Danny Whitaker and sporting director Thomas McStravick.

Whitaker took charge at relegation-threatened Avenue on December 20, but has led them to four defeats from four in Northern Premier League Premier Division and only seen his side score one goal in that time.

That came on Saturday courtesy of a fine individual effort from Chinedu Osadebe, in what was a heart-breaking late 2-1 defeat at Morpeth Town.

It was Avenue’s best performance so far under Whitaker, but it means they are still without a win since then-temporary boss McStravick guided them to a shock 4-3 victory at high-flying Macclesfield FC in mid-December.

McStravick had worked at the club for some time as their academy technical director, but following the departure of Mark Bower in November, he took interim charge of the first team, before becoming the club’s sporting director after director of football Martin Knight left Horsfall last month.

The open Q&A with Whitaker and McStravick will be held in the Horsfall clubhouse and starts at 6pm.

That will tee up the club’s fans for a huge weekend of league action in BD6, as Avenue host FC United of Manchester on Saturday, followed by Marine AFC next Monday.
