Bradford side Woodlands start their ECB National Club Championship campaign next year in the first round.
They will be at home to the winners of the preliminary round two game between Yorkshire Premier League North side Stamford Bridge and the Yorkshire Cricket Southern Premier League outfit Appleby Frodingham.
Woodlands, the Bradford Premier League Premier Division title holders, reached the last 16 of the 2023 tournament before losing to Richmondshire in a rain-affected match.
Their league rivals Pudsey St Lawrence will open their challenge with an away game against the Yorkshire Cricket Southern Premier League champions Sheffield Collegiate, who count Root and Michael Vaughan among their alumni.
The preliminary round two tie will be played on Sunday, April 28, and the reward for the winners will be home advantage in round one against either Huddersfield League champions Moorlands, Bridlington or Norton.
