KEIGHLEY Cougars have signed young full-back Billy Walkley from Salford Red Devils on a one-year deal.
The 19-year-old has represented Wales at youth level, and has captained his country’s Under-19s side.
He was given the squad number 30 for Salford ahead of last season and has been tipped for a bright future in the game.
Though Walkley is primarily a full-back, he provides cover in all of the outside back positions, and will now be looking to develop his game in League 1.
Cougars head coach Matt Foster has been building up his roster nicely ahead of the new campaign, with Walkley the club’s second signing this week after prop Will Maher.
