BRADFORD (Park Avenue) are getting ready for a couple of bumper events.

Their annual beer festival takes place next weekend at Horsfall, from Friday, September 22 to Monday, September 25, with games also taking place at the ground on the first three days.

Avenue’s youngsters are in action on the Friday night, at home to Gainsborough Trinity in the FA Youth Cup, the first team entertain Workington on the Saturday afternoon in the Northern Premier League Premier Division, before a clash between former Avenue and Bradford City takes place at 1pm on the Sunday.

Sunday is also a charity day, with funds being raised for Marie Curie Hospice and Avenue’s academy.

Less than three weeks later, Avenue are having their annual sportsman’s dinner at The Midland Hotel, from 7pm on Friday, October 13.

They are seeking contacts for any ex-Avenue players who wish to attend or any fans.

The guest speaker is former Bantams captain/manager Peter Jackson, who will be supported by comedian Mick Munro.
