LEON Pryce is a Bradford Bulls legend and has starred on the international stage, and his children are doing him proud at the top level of elite sport too.

Pryce talked in glowing terms about son Will to the T&A a couple of years ago as he began to make his breakthrough with the Huddersfield Giants.

His talented son has since played for the England Knights, and has sealed a two-year deal with the Newcastle Knights in the NRL from 2024.

But do not underestimate the skills of Pryce’s daughter Lilly either.

She is a talented water polo player at international level, and has just been out in Turkey for the Women’s Under-17 European Championships.

Pryce was Great Britain’s vice captain, and helped them to 13th place.

Having agonisingly missed out on the quarter-finals, coming third in their group after three wins from six matches, they beat Switzerland and Romania to come 13th, with Pryce scoring in both of those latter games.

The captain of the British side was Amelia Brooksbank, a close schoolfriend of Pryce’s, who is also from Bradford.

Speaking to the European Aquatics governing body LEN after the tournament, Brooksbank said: “I’m just super proud of how far we’ve all come and I’m really, really proud of all the girls and how well we’ve played over this tournament.

“We’ve been as a squad for four years now, so it’s been a long journey. We’ve been through some highs, some lows, but we’ve all stuck together and it really showed in that match at the end.

“Today was emotional as it’s our last game as a squad so it was really good to finish on a win.”
