WEST Bowling have moved to the summit in Division One of the National Conference League.

They were second heading into their clash at leaders Skirlaugh on Saturday, but an impressive 34-18 win saw them overtake their East Yorkshire hosts.

Hooker Dan Halmshaw crossed the line twice for the visitors, as did winger Lewis Taylor.

There was also a try apiece for Bowling centre Daniel Gregory and second row Jack Milburn.

Harry Williams had another solid day with the boot for Dean Muir's side, making five of his six conversion attempts.

Bowling, Oulton Raiders, Clock Face Miners and Skirlaugh are all on six points, but the former are top by virtue of their points difference, and have also played a game less than the other three.

That means the Bradford side are the only unbeaten side in Division One, and the same goes for neighbours Drighlington in Division Three.

Drig edged out Bentley 18-16 on Saturday to make it two wins from two and now sit fifth.

All of the top six have four points, but the other sides that are joint-top have all played three games.

In Division Two of the Yorkshire Men's League, Wibsey Warriors are top after they obliterated local rivals Odsal Sedbergh 50-0 on Saturday.

That allowed Bradford Dudley Hill to move above Odsal into second, after their 28-10 win over Greetland All Rounders.

Queensbury got their first win of the season in the same division, as they beat Illingworth 28-4.

Wyke lost their opening Division Three league game 38-10 at home to Seacroft Sharks.
