Dean Muir's side opened their National Conference League Division One campaign with a thumping 66-8 victory over Crosfields on Saturday, moving to the summit in the process.

Second-row Jack Milburn helped himself to a hat-trick, while there were braces for both winger Lewis Taylor and centre Bradley Wright.

Man-of-the-match Elliott Cousins also crossed the whitewash, as did Owen Simpson, Archie Halmshaw, Oliver Bartle and Harry Williams.

Williams also kicked seven goals, with his half-back partner Liam Coe adding two of his own.

They will hope to take that form to the Knights this weekend, where they will look to spring a monumental shock at 3pm on Sunday.

That puts them top, while Wibsey Warriors are second after beating Farnley Falcons 46-12.

Both sides picked up a red card apiece in a first half brawl, with Adam Cash scoring Sedbergh's only try as the hosts moved up to third with victory.

In the YML Premier Division, Brighouse Rangers lost 34-24 at home to Almondbury Spartans in their opener.
