WEST Bowling could face a historic Challenge Cup tie against Bradford Bulls or Keighley Cougars in less than a fortnight.

The third round draw takes place this evening at 6pm, which is where all the Betfred Championship clubs enter the competition.

And Dean Muir's National Conference League Division One side will be joining them in the hat, after a magnificent 30-22 win at Lock Lane in the second round over the weekend.

Lane play their rugby league a division higher than Bowling, and are widely considered to be one of the best sides in the NCL set-up.

But their Bradford visitors made light of their underdog status on Saturday.

In a tight first half, Bowling kept themselves in the contest over in Castleford, but found themselves 16-12 behind at the break.

But a sensational second half display, Bowling restricted Lane to just six points, while scoring 18 themselves to carry out a famous victory.

They are ball number 25 in tonight's third round draw, which will be broadcast on BBC iPlayer, with Bulls number three and Cougars number 10.

Those third round ties will take place over the weekend of March 11 and 12.
