BRADFORD native Karl Boyes has joined Keighley potters Chris Melling and Arfan Dad in the last-32 of the Ultimate Pool Masters, following a clinical display last night.

'Box Office' showed his quality on the baize in spades, making it to the Group 31 final by beating Scott Crawley 8-4 in his opener.

Young Scot Geo Edgar had edged through to face him, having beaten Dan Wells in a six-red shootout in their de facto semi-final.

But Edgar had no answer to Boyes in the decider, as he was beaten 8-3.

The last-32 is in an eight groups of four format, but Boyes will have to wait until next week to find out who he faces in Group D on April 26, as he is pencilled into face the winner of Group 32, which will be played next Wednesday evening.

The winner of the clash between Boyes and his as-yet undecided opponent will face Jimmy Croxton or Gaz Royds for a place in the quarter-finals.

Melling is in Group F action two weeks earlier, and he will need to get past Jordan Shepherd first for the chance to beat Karl O'Donoghue or Dylan Leary in a de facto last-16 clash.

Dad is in Group C action on March 22. He will be looking to beat Aaron Davies, before going up against Dom Cooney or David McNamara for the chance to reach the last-eight.
