BRADFORD Deaf Centre B are the firm favourites to become this season's Bradford & District Sunday School Billiards League champions with just one week of the season to go.

They put themselves on the brink of glory after defeating one of their closest rivals, Princeville D 4-1.

Their final fixture this week is away to Princeville B, who are in third spot, three points behind them.

A 4-1 win for the Princeville B team would leave both sides level, on a points total Princeville D could also reach with a 5-0 win against bottom of the table Bradford Deaf Centre A.

Waiting in the wings however are Pudsey B, who secured a 4-1 victory over Princeville C in their penultimate fixture.

That puts them into second, and they only trail the leaders by 1.5 points, with their final fixture at home against fifth-placed side Princeville A.
