SEVENTEEN-year-old (just) East Keswick trials rider Harry Hemingway and Sheffield expert ranked Dan Thorpe headed Richmond’s Richard Sadler to win the opening trial in the A.C.U. Yorkshire Centre Championship trial at Silsden.

Both rode the entire Yeadon & Guiseley Motor Club’s fourteen section three lap course at Addingham Moorside without incurring a single penalty. Macclesfield rider Bradley Bullock just claimed runner-up place overall.

One hundred competitors competed. Expert ranked George Gosden travelled from the Isle of Wight to sample the Yorkshire terrain. Hillsborough’s Gavin Black and Huddersfield Falcon contender Jake Walker topped the Clubman A awards. Suzuki dealership owner Robin Luscombe excelled and rode his fifty year old BSA Bantam to a Clubman B class. Victory.  Frizinghall youngster Charlie Petty was the Youth Class B winner.
