AT the second time of asking, Eccleshill United’s FA Vase fourth round tie with AFC Liverpool has once again been postponed due to a frozen pitch.
The game was scheduled to go ahead tomorrow (3:00 pm), however, following a pitch inspection the decision to postpone the game was made around midday.
When the game does finally go ahead, a place in the last-16 of the competition is up for grabs and the winner will be that one step closer to a trip to Wembley.
Via their social media, Eccleshill said: “Our FA Vase Game with AFC Liverpool at the Mitton Group Stadium is postponed due to a frozen Pitch. A new date for this fixture will be announced in due course. Sorry for any inconvenience.”
Matlock Town have also confirmed that there will be a pitch inspection held tomorrow morning between 10am and 10:30am at Causeway Lane ahead of their fixture with Guiseley.
Likewise, there will be pitch inspections at all of the games involving Brighouse, Liversedge, Campion and Thackley.
