Teenager Harry Hemingway rules at Addingham Moorside

The East Keswick sixteen year old Beta rider, he will be seventeen next week, rode ten section hillside course above Silsden without a penalty. His younger brother George, 15 in March, was on course to match his brother but a first lap penalty in section five ended that hope.

The front wheel of his Beta machine slid away incurring a five mark penalty. Rosedale’s Ian Austermuhle and Bradford builder Charlie Smith also dropped marks at the same spot. Jake Walker was the Clubman A class winner with Pateley Bridge competitor Jack Harker just two penalties behind. Lancashire precision engineer Anthony Ayrton in third place.

Leeds youngster Arran Sherwin won Youth Class A for the first time! Summerbridge chimney sweep Phillip Hammond ruled the Clubman B class from Clifton farmer Richard Crabtree and Mark Longbottom. Richard’s sons Jimmy and Bobby also won awards in their class.
