IT'S FA Vase action for Eccleshill United tomorrow and the boys in blue have got a chance to become local heroes.

The fourth round of the competition awaits them with baited breath, as they prepare for their first home tie of the tournament against AFC Liverpool.

So far United have had to overcome two penalty shoot-outs against Wythenshawe and Longridge Town in the last couple of rounds, while they edged Seaham Red Star in the opening tie.

A place in the last 16 beckons for Eccleshill and the dream of playing a final at Wembley Stadium lives on, however, a tough task still awaits Toulson and his men tomorrow, with an inform Liverpool side arriving in West Yorkshire.

Looking ahead to the fixture, Eccleshill's manager, Toulson, said: "We are all extremely excited for the game because it's a massive fixture for the club, players and staff involved. You look at the cup itself and we've done well to come this far and play as many games as we have. Now we've got this far, we've expressed to the lads that we are close, but we still have a lot of work to do and to do it well.

"We won't be taking anything for granted as we know it's going to be another tough game. They've (AFC Liverpool) won five out of their last six games, so they're no mugs. When Saturday comes round, we need to make sure we are on our best game."

Toulson added: "We've really enjoyed playing in the FA Vase this season because it has given us something to focus on away from the league. I think the performances, spirit and mentality have been spot on throughout. The lads have shown real courage to stand up and take the penalties in the previous two rounds because it is a nervy situation. We want to make sure, that if we do end up in a situation of a penalty shoot-out again, that we are ready and confident to take on the responsibilities of what a shootout brings."

Eccleshill will be at home on Saturday (3:00 pm) for the first time in this season's FA Vase and because of the magnitude of the fixture, Toulson has encouraged as much support as possible.

He said: "Being at home is massive for us because we've had to fight through every round so far being away from home. To get a home tie was the perfect scenario for us and now we've got that, we'd love as much support as possible. Both Bradford City and Bradford (Park Avenue) are playing away this weekend, so it would be nice to get a few more local fans into the ground and support us that was because getting into the last 16 of the FA Vase would be huge for everyone associated with the club.

"Not only that, we've had a couple of lads express this week that we might not get any closer to having an opportunity to play at Wembley.

"We know we haven't been on the best run in the league (currently 13th), and we know it's going to be another tough fixture against an inform side, but we'd love the support to help push us over the line."
