IT is proving to be very tight at the summit of the Bradford & District Sunday School Billiards League this year.

Princeville A are joint leaders for the third week in succession, but each week they have shared top spot with a different challenger.

After Bradford Deaf Centre A and then Bradford Deaf Centre B, Pudsey A this week take a turn at being joint-leaders.

They lifted themselves up to a share of top spot by thrashing Princeville D 4-0, while Princeville A could only draw 2-2 with Deaf Centre A.

But previous joint leaders, Deaf Centre B, missed the chance to go outright top after being beaten 3-1 by Princeville C.

Meanwhile Pudsey B's Richard Bowes edged up the season's highest break, this time with a fine effort of 72, as his side beat Princeville B 3-1.
