GUISELEY have parted company with Manager Danny Ellis.
The Lions haven't won a league fixture since October 18 and have slumped to 16th in the Non League Premier Division (North), and their form has lead to the decision being made.
Ellis took over in May and had to build a new team following relegation. However, the board of directors are ambitious for the club and felt that, given the investment of time and commitment needed to deliver these goals, a change was needed now to give the squad the best chance of achieving their aims this season.
Danny Forrest, assisted by Martin Foster, will take over as Interim Manager and has the full backing of the board to progress the development of the playing staff and the team.
Guiseley said: "We would like to thank Danny Ellis for his contribution to our club and wish him every success in the future.
"We appreciate that our supporters may be surprised and disappointed with this decision given Danny’s long service to the club as a player and having only recently returned to the club as manager."
