Aussie ace Glenn Morrison has signed a new deal which he hopes will see him play out his career as a trophy-winning Bull.

The instrumental loose forward's contract is up at the end of the year but the blond bombshell today delivered news all fans had been hoping for by announcing he had won another 12 months.

Morrison was a colossal hit in 2007 having joined from Parramatta Eels, breaking double figures in the try-scoring stakes, making the Super League Dream Team and cleaning up at Bradford's player of the year awards.

He underwent substantial shoulder surgery over the winter though and, turning 32 later this month, knew he had to prove both his fitness and influence remained strong if he was to carry on into 2009.

A knee injury suffered in March did not help his bid but, since returning from that, Morrison has quickly recaptured his swashbuckling best and consistently been the heartbeat of the side.

Bradford's vice-captain now follows skipper Paul Deacon in cementing his future with the Bulls and the big-tackling forward is delighted to be staying on at Grattan Stadium.

"I'm happy here, it's a great club and I think Macca's on the right path, getting us going in the right direction," explained Morrison, who has bagged five tries in just nine appearances this season.

"I want to be a part of that and hopefully lift some silverware before I'm done.

"When I came over here I didn't want to be on my last legs. I wanted to be playing good footy and hopefully earn that third year.

"I've done that and I'm delighted. It's great that I'll be with Bradford for another season. Now I want to accomplish things and get to finals."

Former Balmain Tiger Morrison, who had spent all his career in the NRL before moving to Super League, has not ruled out playing on into 2010.

"I'm enjoying myself and love playing under Macca, while the boys here are great," he said.

"Who knows, come this time next year, if I'm still feeling fit and playing good footie, I might do another year. That could be the target."

Steve McNamara has always praised Morrison's leadership and playing strengths, so the Odsal boss was naturally elated to see a player who has made such an impression on his side sign on again for Super League XIV.

"Glenn has been first class, both on and off the field, since the day he arrived and I am absolutely delighted he will be with us next year," said the Bulls coach.

"He is the consummate professional and vitally important to both the team and how we play. It's great news for the Bulls."
