City reserves 5, Oldham reserves 0

City reserves' final home game of the season saw former Bantam favourite Lee Duxbury and his side on the wrong end of a drubbing.

The hosts included four trialists - Wigan Athletic's Russell Saunders, playing his second game in goal, plus defenders Callum Burgess (Coventry City), Ugo Udoji (Portsmouth) and Jack Pelter (Sunderland).

After missing a good chance, Luke Medley headed home from close range to open the scoring after 14 minutes.

David Brown hit the upright before City doubled their lead in the 18th minute when Josh Bell could only parry an Udoji drive and Scott Phelan slotted home.

Brown added a third soon afterwards, latching onto a through-ball, before Phelan was brought down by Ryan Brooke in the box and got up to convert from the spot after 34 minutes, Brooke being dismissed for the offence.

City replaced Medley with Luke Dean at the start of the second half and, with his first touch of the ball, Dean netted number five from a cross by Luke Morgan.

City reserves: Saunders, Udoji, Horne (Hopkins), Bentham, Burgess, Pelter, Morgan, Phelan, Medley, Brown (Sharry), Osborne.
