A POWERFUL second half from play-off chasing West Bowling proved too hot of Kells in warm conditions at Horsfall over the weekend.

A close first half in this National Conference League Division clash saw Bowling open the scoring through Jack Milburn.

Kells hit back though, taking a 12-6 lead into the break.

It was all change in the second half however as West Bowling flourished.

Logan Simpson put the game on level terms early in the second half and Liam Darville was on the end of another flowing move just before the hour.

Harry Williams struck his third goal to convert that one and Bowling led 18-12.

The hosts were having fun in the sun with Lewis Taylor scoring twice, either side of a lovely effort from Darville, who first chipped through for Williams to collect, before the ball was returned to him on the inside.

Williams increased his goal tally to five before the end, as West Bowling won 34-12.

Barring any end of season reprieve, Bradford Dudley Hill have been relegated from Division Two.

With the bottom three set to go down, they are seven points off safety with just two games to go.

It was another miserable weekend for them, as they were thumped 40-18 at Dewsbury Moor Maroons over the weekend.

In Division Three, lowly Drighlington lost 30-26 in a thriller at Millom.

In the Yorkshire Men's League Premier Division, Queensbury had a walkover win against rock-bottom East Hull, while Brighouse Rangers were thumped 40-16 by high-flying Doncaster Toll Bar.

In Division Two, Odsal Sedbergh conceded to Ossett Trinity Tigers, while Wibsey Warriors suffered a 46-22 defeat at Newsome Panthers.

Keighley Albion wrapped up the Division Three title with a 38-8 win over Wyke, while West Bowling Academy edged out Cutsyke Raiders 30-28.

In Division Six, Drighlington's second team handed Normanton Knights a walkover victory, while in Division 7B, Leeds Akkies beat Birkenshaw Blue Dogs 26-18.
