A SELECTION of items from Bradford's sporting past will go under the hammer in an online auction.
Photos of speedway riders, football and cricket autographs, postcards and programmes are up for grabs on the Midland Sports Auctions website.
Football fans are catered for in the auction with Bradford City stars of yesteryear featured.
A number of autographs from the Bantams squad of the 1940s and early 50s are up for grabs. Auctioneer's estimate for this item is between £8 and £10 and the lot number is 1730.
A programme from Bradford (Park Avenue’s) home clash with Barrow from January 1953 also features. Auctioneer's estimate for this item is between £8 and £10 and the lot number is 364.
A programme of Avenue’s Third Division (North) match with Derby County on March 3, 1956 will also be going under the hammer.
It has an auctioneer’s estimate of from £6 to £8 and is lot number 898.
A page of autographs from Avenue’s squad from the 1940s and ‘50s is available. Auctioneer's estimate for this item is between £6 and £8 and the lot number is 1729.
A postcard team group photograph of Bowling Old Lane AFC from the 1906-07 season is also included. Auctioneer's estimate for this item is between £16 and £20 and the lot number is 1127.
Odsal Stadium's rich speedway history also goes under the hammer.
A photograph of Odsal riders Eddie Rigg, Oliver Hart and Ron Clarke also feature.
Auctioneer's estimate for this item is between £6 and £8 and the lot number is 1593.
Cricket fans are catered for with a postcard featuring Yorkshire players from 1925. Auctioneer's estimate for this item is between £18 and £20 and the lot number is 1291.
Tim Beddow, of Midland Sports Auctions, said: “There are a few different teams in there. We have picked up a few Bradford sports items.
“We have had people contribute the autographs to this auction.
“The Bradford sports memorabilia items always do reasonably well for us.
“There is quite a lot of romance with Bradford (Park Avenue) and I have semi-followed them too.
“The photographs of the Odsal riders are sure to get interest from the speedway community in and around Bradford.”
