BRADFORD (Park Avenue) have signed another forward, with Eddie Church joining the ranks at Horsfall.

The pacey 21-year-old, who scored as a trialist in Avenue's defeat to Silsden at the weekend, is best known in the Bradford District for his time at Brighouse Town, though he has also had spells at Tadcaster Albion.

But he has now made the step up from Northern League football to National League football for the first time.

Speaking after the deal was completed, Church said: "I'm looking forward to getting some minutes in, some game time.

"I want to get scoring some goals too, and hopefully the team does well, so I'm looking forward to that."

Asked what he can bring to the side, Church said: "I can bring energy and goals, all sorts of different attributes.

"I've got plenty of speed too, things like that, so I want to put all that into each game."

He admitted he doesn't have a goals target as such, saying: "I always want to score some goals, being a striker.

"But look the main thing is I want the team to do really well, progress and hopefully be up there in the table this year."

The signing of Church comes just after Avenue brought in Jacob Blyth from Chorley on a one-year deal.

Blyth, who has played for the likes of Oldham Athletic and Northampton Town, is a bit of a minor celebrity, given he is married to Geordie Shore star Holly Hagan.

The pair could feature up top next season alongside Avenue stalwart Oli Johnson, who signed a new one-year deal with the club last week.
