BRADFORD (Park Avenue) striker Oli Johnson has signed on for a fifth year at the club.
Originally joining on loan from Guiseley in November 2016, then signing in 2017, Johnson has been a popular figure under Avenue boss Mark Bower.
He has played a key role over the last few years, as Avenue reached the National League North play-offs in 2017/18 and 2018/19, before they avoided relegation over the curtailed Covid seasons and the 2021/22 campaign.
On the news that Johnson, who was at Premier League Norwich a decade ago, would be staying put, Bower said: “We are delighted that OJ will continue with us for another season.
“On his day, he is a match winner for us and has versatility across our forward positions.
“His experience has been a massive influence on our younger players over the past few seasons and many have stated how they enjoy playing with him.”
Johnson added: “I’m happy to sign for another season at the club.
“To continue playing for Bows and Bosh (assistant manager Danny Boshell) is a big factor in my decision and to be a part of what we’re trying to build.
“I’m looking forward to seeing what we can achieve as a group this coming season.”
