YORKSHIRE fast bowler Matthew Fisher is set for a longer spell on the sidelines following further examination of his back injury.
It was initially thought that the seamer would miss around four weeks of the season but, following further investigation, it has been determined that the 24-year-old will require a longer period off the field.
Fisher’s rehabilitation program has been progressing well and the club’s medical staff will continue to monitor and work with the young fast bowler with his long term performance in mind at all times.
The club have said they will provide a further update on Fisher’s progress in due course, but no date has been set for his return.
