BRADFORD star Jonny Bairstow scored the bulk of England's runs on day two of the first Test against the West Indies.
The Yorkshire stalwart had produced a magnificent unbeaten 109 on day one, as England closed on 268-6.
Bairstow added another 31 runs yesterday, with some stylish, and some ugly, boundaries to help propel his team beyond 300.
He was the last man out, caught brilliantly by the back-pedalling Jason Holder off Alzarri Joseph, for 140, as England ended their innings on 311 all out.
England toiled in the field thereafter though, and despite reducing the West Indies from 83-0 to 127-4, Holder and Nkrumah Bonner put on an unbroken partnership of 75 to take the hosts to 202-4 at the close of play.
