STATION Hotel cruised eight points clear at the summit of the Bradford Sunday Alliance League Premier Division over the weekend, thumping Low Moor 5-0.

The visitors had five different scorers on the day, with Lewis Carroll, Daniel Cunningham, Jahro Parchment, James Murtagh and substitute Glynn Beale all finding the net.

The only team who look to have any chance of catching them are second-placed Oakenshaw, but they dropped costly points at Bolton Woods, who are third.

Oakenshaw were 2-0 up at half-time, but second half goals from Matthew Addy and Andrew McHugh ensured a share of the spoils for Woods.

Sandy Lane, having got their first point of the season against West Bowling last week, did even better on Sunday, edging out rock-bottom Peacock Bar 4-3.

In the West Riding County FA Sunday Cup, Westwood Park joined fellow Bradford side Olympic in the last-four, winning 4-3 on penalties against Main Line Social after a 0-0 draw.

Westwood will visit Skipton United on February 6 in the semi-finals, with the other tie seeing Olympic host Chequerfield FC Chequers on the same day.

Back to league action, and Clayton Albion were the big winners in the Championship, closing the gap on the top two after James Hunt's brace secured a 4-1 win over Prospect.

Leaders Thackley Athletic could only draw 0-0 with lowly AFC Wibsey, while second-placed Newline remain six points behind them after their match with RIS London finished 3-3.

FC Mill Lane are up to fifth after they thumped Beldon Sports 7-2, while fourth-placed Bradford Moor YSA edged out Keighley Town 2-1.

In Division One, leaders Prospect Reserves saw the gap at the top cut to four points, as they slumped to a dreadful 5-2 defeat at home to struggling Shelf Juniors Sunday 5-2.

New Steeton striker Cain Tailford grabbed a hat-trick for the delirious visitors.

George Hotel United 2001 have not had the best start to the season either, but they edged out third-placed Bolton Woods Socials 4-3 in a thriller thanks to a Michael Hall treble.

Royal Oak ELEFC moved up to ninth with a thumping 6-0 win at lowly Whitburn Athletic, with Niall Kaye helping himself to three goals.

East Bierley Village beat rock-bottom Lincoln Barbers 3-0, while Leaventhorpe Rangers won by the same scoreline against Beldon Sports Reserves.

Gomersal & Cleckheaton moved above Prince of Orange in Division Two with a stunning 8-0 win, as Daniel Glover hit three.

Manningham Allstars won their sixth game out of six to move up to third, beating Esholt 5-0.

But it is Buttershaw St Paul who stay top, after cruised to a 3-0 win over St Bedes Sunday.

Second-placed George Hotel beat Rattlers 4-2, while Bierley Bantams got their first win of the season with an excellent 3-1 triumph over Low Moor Reserves.

It is tight in Division Three, and with AFC Undercliffe not playing, Bull Royd and Oddfellows Arms moved above them at the summit.

Bull Royd are top on goal difference after winning 3-0 at Wibsey Village, but Oddfellows are hot on their heels after they hammered Idle United 7-3, with Jamie Kitching scoring a hat-trick.

Woodman Athletic have played far less games than the teams above them, but they made it seven wins from seven by crushing Clayton Albion 2nds 5-1.

Eccleshill Punjab got their first league victory of the season by beating fellow strugglers AFC Titans 5-2, while Rattlers United went goal-crazy at Bradford City Deaf, winning 14-0.
