A FORMER Bradford (Park Avenue) striker has just got his big move up to the Championship with Blackpool.
Jake Beesley was a loan star in Avenue's run to the National League North play-offs in 2018-19, but he has since moved on to bigger and better things.
After joining then League One side Rochdale in September 2020 from Solihull Moors, he was unable to stop them from being relegated to League Two at the end of last season.
But having hit nine goals already this term in the fourth tier, bigger clubs were sniffing around the 25-year-old, and earlier this week, Blackpool snapped him up on a three-and-a-half year deal.
Beesley was superb at Avenue three seasons ago, hitting 21 goals in 43 league games, including a hat-trick in a 5-1 win over their West Yorkshire rivals Guiseley.
He had come into replace Spennymoor Town-bound Adam Boyes, whose goals had helped Avenue reach the play-offs in 2017-18.
