BRADFORD (Park Avenue) have confirmed that striker Akeel Francis has been released by the club with immediate effect.

In a short club statement, Bradford said: “We would like to place on record our thanks to Akeel for his efforts here, and wish him well in the future.”

Francis is not the only Avenue forward on the move either, though the other is only temporary.

Avenue scholar Seb Bolton has appeared in a few first-team squads this season, but the teenager could probably do with some more game time to harness his clear potential.

So he has gone to NPL East Division side Brighouse Town, and will hope to be involved and make his debut in their league game at home to Tadcaster Albion on Saturday.

Brighouse have been busy making signings over the last couple of days, also bringing in young defender Aiden Walker from Mansfield.
