SIR - English football has got itself into a right pickle. It lectures us with taking the knee, rainbow laces and a concern about climate change but then morally turns a blind eye to dirty money in the Premier League that is buying clubs.

As well as the World Cup in Qatar where slavery is still rife. After the virtue signalling of the likes of Marcus Rashford over issues such as school dinners supported by the FA and PL, what do they have to say about the Saudi owners linked to their government (where there are no human rights for women)?

English football is guilty of double standards and only has morals where it suits it. The people in charge didn't think it through and they should never have got involved in politics. The FA and PL are not fit for purpose.
