DEER Park was certainly busy on Sunday. The sixth event in the Simon Green Motor Engineers trial championship attracted seventy one competitors of all ages and sizes to the Bingley venue where four trial course options were plotted. Only five small wheelers competed where Ellis Mitchell and Frizinghall girl Emily Petty were winners. 
Their father David lost the victory on the hard cours Ben Ludgate on a tie breaker decider. Both incurred twelve penalties on the ten section four lap course. 
The same decider also put veteran Stewart Oughton at the top of the green course class. No decider on the easy route where Ged Fallon incurred one penalty in section eight on lap two. The seventh Simon Green trial is on Sunday bat Greenhow.
