BRADFORD (Park Avenue) continue to make signings ahead of the National League North season starting next week.

During their friendly with Altrincham on Tuesday, a 2-1 defeat, they revealed that 'Trialist F' was actually Lucas Odunston, who has officially joined the club after leaving Hull City.

The right-back, 20, became a free agent after leaving the Tigers in the summer.

Discussing the signing, Avenue boss Mark Bower said: "He's been very good for us on trial for us in pre-season after a difficult couple of years for him.

"I think everyone's seen the quality he's got on the ball, and I'm sure the glimpses of that that we've seen, as he gets fitter and stronger, with more games under his belt, we'll see that quality come to the fore more often.

"Hopefully we can be a platform for him to get himself back up the pyramid and playing football full-time again, because with the quality he's got, that should be his aim.

"It's certainly achievable for him."

Odunston started for Bradford in Tuesday's match, alongside another new signing, striker Luke Rawson.

And it was Rawson who put the hosts in front at Horsfall, sending the goalkeeper the wrong way from the penalty spot in the 11th minute.

It was still 1-0 at the break, and Jordan Windass, son of Bantams legend Dean, was unlucky not to make it two when his fierce strike went just wide on the hour mark.

That miss proved costly, as National League side Altrincham pulled off a stunning late turnaround.

They equalised in the 85th minute, thanks to a lovely Matty Kosylo free-kick from just outside the area before grabbing the winner just moments later.

Avenue's trialist goalkeeper was unable to hold Kosylo's effort, and the ball came back to Tom Peers, who tapped home the rebound.

Bradford will have chance to make amends in their final friendly tomorrow night at home to Scarborough Athletic.

Guiseley were also in pre-season action on Tuesday night, losing 2-1 to West Yorkshire rivals Halifax Town. Their final pre-season friendly is at home to Stockport County on Saturday.
