HERE are the latest angling lines:

BINGLEY ANGLING CLUB

A bright hot sunny day made for difficult fishing conditions for the match on the River Calder on Sunday, July 18, but everyone caught.

C. Dine came first with 7lb 6oz, while I. Ward was second with 4lb 10oz. A. Healy ended up third with 2lb 10oz.

There will be another work party at Teapot Dam tomorrow to continue with bank repairs.

The work will be labour intensive, so volunteers will be welcome, even if you can only come for an hour or so.

LEEDS & DISTRICT A.S.A.

The match at Moor Monkton Pools was won by A. Warren with 54lb 7oz. L. Smith came second with 50lb 11oz, while O. Hewitt finished third with 50lb 2oz.

Not many anglers have been fishing at Knotford, owing to the dense weed growth.

However those who have persisted have had some good catches, including a catfish of 21lb.

The last open match at Armley was fished in extreme heat.

R. Thorne won it with 3lb 2oz, M. White came second with 2lb 15oz and C. Lees finished third with 1lb 14oz.
